I am totally thankfulness because I was born in Indonesia which east culture. Philosophy in here was different from west. We believe of God, we had moral and ethics for our life, we always care to other, not individualist. It’s totally beautiful. But in whole world, time always running out, assimilation could be happen in everywhere, everytime. So, hegemonic culture from west was happen too. We can’t run away from this, we can’t hide from this, we can’t made this if there is nothing happen in our culture. It’s for sure fast or late would make our system social as a west.
Marshal McLuhan said that the world is becoming global village. No boundaries in global village. Era information is the sign. We can talk to other people in different country without same place. And the new era, make everything so individualist. Previously people dance and sing in the street always together, because they bring a big radiotype. After walkman innovatin, it’s changing. People listening music alone not together. Finally it’s make people being individualist.
Time by time, more innovation for make our life so simple and of course so individualist and so egoist. The question is how we can still had good attitude with moral and ethics in this ‘global village’?
